Bioinformatics Seminar Series

The Bioinformatics Seminar Series has the goal of bringing together the computational biology community on the UF campus. Therefore, each session will be hosted by two speakers, one from each area, that will have 30 minutes each to present their work, discuss an interesting paper or meeting, describe a problem they need help with, etc. We hope this format will lead to useful and engaging discussions that will benefit the whole computational biology community.

Seminar announcements will be posted on this page and on the bioinfo-seminars-L mailing list. To subscribe, please send an E-mail to with the following in the body of the message: subscribe bioinfo-seminars-L Firstname Lastname.

We hope this seminar series will become the nucleus for a vibrant community, but this can only be accomplished with the active participation of all of you. If you would like to volunteer please contact one of us at our addresses below.

Seminars will be held bi-weekly during the Spring semester at the Genetic Institute in room 451 on Thursdays at 4:00pm starting on January 16th, 2014. See the full schedule of presentations for a list of titles and speakers.
