Symposium on "Genome Sequencing and Annotation"

Placeholder

A two-day symposium focusing on the computational and analytical challenges involved in the sequencing and annotation of genomes, and on their impact on biological and biomedical research.

Seven invited speakers offered their insights on the development of computational tools, on strategies for the large-scale annotation of genomes, and on the use of genomic information to advance biomedical research.

Keynote talk: "The Road to Genomic Medicine is Paved with Data", John Quackenbush, Harvard School of Public Health. Follow the link to view the recorded presentation.

The symposium took place at the University of Florida, in the Cancer Genomics Research Complex, on April 12th and 13th 2012.
